Taller de fieltro con Mica Losada

A diferencia de otros tejidos el fieltro no se crea en un telar, sino superponiendo y compactando fibras mediante presión o fricción. El arte de hacer fieltro es más antiguo que el hilado o tejido en telar. Existe evidencia del uso de lana convertida en fieltro en muchas culturas antiguas. Desde los griegos de Pompeya a la Edad del Bronce. Algunos religiosos cristianos hablan en leyendas de como San Clemente y San Cristobal colocaron vellón de lana en sus sandalias, para evitar roces y ampollas cuando huían de sus perseguidores y al final del camino la lana se había convertido en calcetines con el roce del movimiento y la humedad.

Unlike other textiles felt is not created with a loom, but by overlaying fibers through pressure and friction. The art of felt making is older than spinning or weaving on looms. There is evidence of it through many cultures along history. From the Greeks in Pompey to the Bronze Age. Some religious Christians talk about the legend of St. Clemens and St. Cristobal putting wool into their sandals to avoid blisters while escaping from their persecutors and ending up with felted socks, created by the friction and humidity while walking.

Muchas tribus nómadas de las estepas de Asia Central crearon y siguen creando sus tiendas de campaña portátiles con fieltro de las ovejas y con pieles, para protegerles de forma natural de condiciones meteorológicas extremas, dándoles cobijo y calor. Una de las propiedades del fieltro es justamente su habilidad de poder estar expuesto a los elementos, pero también su resistencia, capacidad de aislamiento térmico o de mantener su forma física.

Many nomadic tribes of Central Asia made and still make their portable tents out of felt, using the fleece and leather of sheep helping to protect themselves from extreme weather conditions, giving them shelter and natural heat. One of the great properties of felt is it's capacity of being exposed to the elements, but also it's resistance, thermic insulation or capacity to keep it's physical shape.

Así como nos vamos acercando también en Mallorca a un clima más fresco y otoñal, hemos pensado que sería una buena idea ofreceros un taller de fieltro en Open Studio 79.  Pero además estamos muy orgullosos de poder ofreceros este taller de la mano de una artista de fieltro tan especial y llena de experiencia, como lo es Mica Losada, que llegó a la isla desde Mar de Plata, Argentina. Le avalan años de experiencia en la enseñanza de las diversas técnicas de fieltro, que ha compartido con cariño y amor durante este tiempo.

As we are heading towards a colder season here in Mallorca we thought it would be a great idea to offer you a felt making workshop. But we are also very proud at Open Studio 79 to offer you this workshop by one of the most amazing and experienced felt artist: Mica Losada, who is coming from Mar de Plata, Argentina. She has a great experience in teaching diverse felt techniques and has shared her knowledge and love for this material throughout many years. 

Durante este taller de calcetines de fieltro, que os ofrecemos el sábado 29. de septiembre en OS79, no solo aprenderéis a crear un tejido de fieltro, en este caso unos calcetines sin costuras, si no que además podréis aprender como aplicar la técnica japonesa de shibori (plegado) al fieltro. Se abren así un sinfín de posibilidades de hacer piezas con lana, como la de nuestras ovejas mallorquinas para convertir esta materia prima, que tenemos a nuestro alcance, en volumen y en .... comfort. 

During this felted sock workshop that we will be hosting the next Saturday Sept 29th at OS79, you will not only learn to create a felted textile, in this case a pair of socks without seams, but you will also learn to apply the Japanese technique of shibori to felt. O myriad of possibilities open in front of you to create pieces with wool, like the one of our Mallorcan sheep, and turn this raw material into volume and.... into comfort.

Cherry leaves

En el pequeño jardín de mi casa crece un cerezo Prunus Avium, que planté cuando mis hijas eran aún pequeñas. Cada año esperábamos con ganas recoger nuestra cosecha de cerezas, pero, a pesar de que las flores y las abejas parecían hacer su trabajo... sólo un par de cerezas llegaban a madurar, mientras otras cientos de cerecitas se caían del árbol. Planté otro cerezo para que ayudara con la polinización... pero en realidad no fue de mucha ayuda. Y este año, hemos repetido resultados. La cosecha: 1 + 1 cerezas. ¿Alguien sabe qué puede estar pasando?

In my little garden grows a cherry tree Prunus Avium that I planted when my daughters were still little. Each year we wait with expectation to harvest our own cherries, but despite many flowers and bees .... only two cherries get ripe and the other hundreds of little cherries fall off the tree. I have planted another cherry tree to help with pollination,.... but actually it has not helped. Again this year's harvest has been 1 + 1 cheeries. Anybody has advice for me?

Pero, a pesar de todo, el árbol tiene muchísimas hojas que puedo utilizar para proyectos especiales como este: un encargo para la galería ABA ART LAB de Palma, que dirigen las increíbles Alejandra y Maribel Bordoy. El reto era crear una serie de paneles de tela muy finos, para un lugar específico, utilizando colores naturales; uno de ellos, verde.
Verde como las hojas de mi cerezo.... aunque, en realidad, las hojas del cerezo no tiñen verde, sino ¡amarillo! Pero existen diferentes fórmulas para convertir ese amarillo en verde y con los que además se pueden conseguir muchísimas variedades de verde.

But nevertheless, there are many leaves on the tree, that I can use for great purposes, as this special project: a commission for an art gallery in Palma ABA ART LAB run by two amazing sisters, Alejandra and Maribel Bordoy. For them I should dye a site specific project a few very thin fabric panels with natural dyes and one of them should be green.
Green as cherry leaves ... but in fact.... cherry leaves do not dye green, but yellow! In order to turn yellow into green there are several options though, giving you a whole range of amazing color shades and possibilities.

El proceso empieza con el mordentado. Para conseguir un amarillo brillante, utilicé alumbre junto con cremor tártaro. Aunque un mordiente de cobre o una cacerola de cobre, posiblemente hubiera convertido el amarillo directamente en verde, yo preferí utilizar índigo, que es mi gran aliado cuando busco diferentes tonalidades de verde. Ya sabéis, amarillo + azul = verde.

It starts with the mordant. In my case I used Alum and Cream of Tartar, to get the bright yellow. But if I had used a cooper mordant or dyed the fabric in a copper pot this yellow would have turned into green. I prefered though to use indigo, which is my great ally when looking for greens.

Sumerjo la tela amarilla en la cubeta de índigo y después juego un poco con óxido de hierro para conseguir diferentes efectos y sombras. Esta es una de las cosas que me fascina de los tintes naturales, la riqueza de paleta de colores que se pueden conseguir en la misma tintada. Todo es cuestión de química y de cómo las moléculas de color reaccionan a los cambios del ph. Lo mismo sucede cuando pintamos con acuarelas, las partículas de índigo se superponen a las amarillas y toman color verdoso. Es como un juego totalmente creativo y que nunca repite resultados.

I dipped the yellow fabric into the indigo vat and used an iron after bath to play around with fading effects and cool shades. This is one thing that amazes me about natural dyes, the huge color palette that can one can develop with just one dye. It is all about chemistry and how the color molecules react to ph shifts, or as when painting with water colors, the blue particles of indigo overlap the yellow ones making them look green. It is playful, creative and never the same!

Los colores que se extraen de las plantas siempre dependen de los pigmentos que contengan y, a diferencia de los colores sintéticos, que están compuestos de una o dos moléculas de color, los colores naturales contienen muchísimas moléculas de color, según la composición de su pigmento. La clorofila es el pigmento que hace que las hojas sean verdes y es la responsable de la fotosíntesis. Aunque tras el verde se esconden a veces otros pigmentos como los carotenoides (naranjas, rojos y rosas amarillentos); los flavonoides (amarillos, rojos, azules y morados) o la betalaína (rojo-mordas, amarillos anaranjados).

The color that one extracts from plants depends on the pigments they have. But different to synthetic colors that are composed by only one or two color molecules, natural colors contain many different color molecules, depending on their pigment composition. Chlorophyll is the pigment that makes the leaves look green and that is responsible for the photosynthesis. But besides there are other pigments in plants as Cartenoids (oranges, reds, yellow pinks), Flavonoids (yellow, red, blue, purple) or Betalains (red-violet, yellow-orange) that are often hidden under the green.

Han pasado ya varios años desde que participé en mi primer taller de tintes naturales. Se abría un nuevo mundo para mi e instantáneamente me vi atraída por la magia del color natural. Me compré un par de libros sobre el tema, unas grandes ollas en tiendas de segunda mano y empecé a hacer mis primeros experimentos tinctóreos.

A few years have gone by since I took my first workshop in natural dyes. A whole world was opening in front of me and I was instantly drawn by the magic of natural color. I bought a couple of amazing books, some big pots at a thrift store and started to make my first dye experiments.

In our hands

Muchas veces nos olvidamos de las herramientas tan maravillosas que son nuestras manos. Son las piezas de ingeniería naturales más complejas del cuerpo humano. Nos permiten agarrar y también manipular objetos con gran precisión.
Con ellas, los humanos podemos manejar grandes y complicadas máquinas o aparatos electrónicos con diminutas teclas, que apretamos muchas veces al día. (En un estudio de 2016 se habla de unas 2.617 veces al día).

We often forget what wonderful tools our hands are. They are the most complex pieces of natural engineering in the human body. They give us grip but also allow us to manipulate objects with great precision.
With them humans can operate big complex machines or small electronic devices with tiny buttons that we press many times a day. (A study of 2016 talks about 2.617 times a day). 

Pero las manos también nos permiten sostener pequeñas herramientas, que junto a nuestra habilidad, y nuestro arte, nos permiten hacer cosas maravillosas. Herramientas como una guitarra, una flauta o un violín para tocar música; un cuchillo de cocina, una cuchara o una cacerola para crear una comida deliciosa; unas agujas de tejer para tricotar un jersey, o una pluma para escribir una carta o un poema. Con ellas podemos hacer grandes cosas y deleitar a amigos, familiares, a nosotros mismos e incluso a desconocidos.

But hands also allow us also to hold simple tools in them that make it posible for us to do wonderful things with our skills and art. Tools as a guitar, flute or violin to play music, a cooking knife, spoon or pot to create a delicious meal, a knitting needle and yarn to knit a sweater, or a pen to write a letter or poem. We can do many great things with them that will bring joy to friends, family, ourselves or people we even do not know.

Existen muchas expresiones o acciones que incluyen la palabra mano: mañoso, escrito a mano, apretón de manos, trabajo manual, estampado a mano, tejido a mano, hecho a mano .... y esto me lleva a cuestionarme si en un futuro estas expresiones dejarán de usarse tanto.
Viviendo en un mundo que evoluciona cada vez más hacia una tecnología cada vez más sofisticada, es probable que los aparatos electrónicos empiecen a ser manejados por nuestra voz. Entonces yo me pregunto, ¿vamos a dejar de utilizar nuestras manos ? o ¿mutarán a manos robotizadas? Pensad por ejemplo en los coches, que pronto se conducirán solos, sin necesidad de que manejemos el volante. Pensad en Siri, que en nuestros teléfonos contesta a nuestras preguntas sin necesidad de tocar el teclado. O pensad en las impresoras en 3D con los cuales seremos capaces de hacer nuestra propia ropa sin coger ni una sola aguja.

There are many words or actions that include the word "hand": handy, handwriting, handshaking, handwork, handprint, handsewn, handknitted, handmade, handcrafted .... and it makes me wonder if in the future these words will become more out of use. 
Living in a world that evolves towards sophisticated technological and electronic devices that will be operated not even by our hands, but our voice comandos, will our hands get out of use or mutate towards a robotized hand? Think about the cars, that drive on their own, without the need of steering the wheel. Think about Sri, that gives answers to our questions on the phone without the need of typing. Or think about the 3D printer that will be able to make our custom cloths without even touching a sewing needle.

Probablemente este es solo el comienzo de una nueva era, que conllevará muchos cambios; eso es la evolución humana y forma parte de nuestra especie.

Pero mientras muchas máquinas irán sustituyendo las tareas de nuestras manos, me imagino, y espero,  que aún seguirá habiendo la necesidad de realizar muchas cosas manualmente. Cosas que llevarán nuestra huella y que a lo mejor no serán tan perfectas como las que han sido creadas por máquinas, pero que estarán llenas de sentimiento y de amor.
La interacción táctil entre nuestras manos y los materiales que tocamos produce en nosotros una sensación especial. Todos recordamos seguramente el placer de jugar con una bola de barro. O si eres tejedor,  seguro que estarás de acuerdo que una de las cosas más agradables es notar como se desliza el hilo de lana entre los dedos y sentir el fluir de los movimientos que nuestras manos son capaces de llevar a cabo, coreografiadas de una manera mágica por nuestra mente.

Probably this is just the beginning of a new era with big changes ahead of us; this is human evolution and a part of our human specie. 
But while machines take over many of our duties I can imagine that there will still be the need to do things with our two hands. Things that will carry our imprint and will not be as perfect as the ones created by machines, but full of feelings and love. 
The tactile interaction between our hands and the materials we touch is such an amazing experience. Probably many of you remember hoe great it is to play with a ball of clay. Or if you are a knitter for sure you will agree that one of the things that brings so much joy is to feel how the yarn glides through our fingers and to feel the flow of movements that our hands are able to perform, choreographed in a magic way by the brain.

Será nuestra elección cuanto queramos utilizar nuestras manos en el futuro, porque con suerte siempre habrá barro para jugar y dar forma, pan para amasar, lápices para dibujar y escribir o lana para hilar y para tejer.
Pues lo dicho.....¡Manos a la obra!

It will be our choice how much we want to use our hands in the future, because there will hopefully always be mud to play or clay to give shape, bread to knead, pencils to draw and write or wool to spin and knit.
Well then......Hands on !

Thoughts and actions

Ya han pasado más de tres años desde que decidí abrir mi estudio al público para infundir creatividad en la comunidad y compartir mi pasión por la naturaleza y las actividades creativas respetuosas con el medio ambiente. Durante este período he aprendido mucho. He aprendido mucho sobre las fibras naturales, razas de ovejas, propiedades de las lanas; sobre punto e hilado y sobre hebras e hilos.

It has been over three years when I decided to open my studio to the public wanting to infuse creativity into the community and sharing my passion for nature and environmental friendly crafts. During this period I have learned a lot. I learned a lot about fiber,  breeds, yarn properties, knitting, spinning and plies.

New season & new opening hours

Estamos en la recta final del verano, a punto de comenzar un nuevo ciclo. Se avecinan nuevos proyectos y retos, tanto para OPENstudio79, como para mí y mi desarrollo creativo y artístico.

Os explico, este verano he tenido la oportunidad de dedicar más tiempo a crear, a mojar los pinceles en tinta, a recolectar hojas y flores para extraer sus pigmentos y sumergir mis manos en colores naturales. Tiempo para la creación, la experimentación, tiempo para mí. Un tiempo que no ha hecho más que reforzar una idea que llevaba tiempo madurando: volver a dedicar más tiempo a mi trabajo creativo, a conectar con la naturaleza, a aprender de la sabiduría de otros artesanos y crecer como artista. 

Summer is almost getting to it's end and so are my holidays. Ahead of mine are many new projects and challenges I want to face, in OPENstudio79 and my personal creative and artistic development. All this will mean some modifications at my studio shop and opening hours (from September 15th on), which I will share with you all this in the following posts and newsletters. But I can already tell you in advance that I want to dedicate again more time to my creative work, learning from nature, from the wisdom of other artisan and to grow as an artist.

End of summer sale

Se acerca el final del verano y con él he preparado un evento en OPENstudio79 un tanto especial.
A lo largo de los últimos años, además de las fibras y lanas, he ido incorporando al estudio libros, muebles vintage, telas, jarrones, dibujos y algún que otro tesoro más. Y con el final del verano y los nuevos propósitos del nuevo curso, ha llegado el momento de dejarlos marchar para dejar espacio para nuevos productos... y para ello, ¡necesito vuestra complicidad!

El verano está a la vuelta de la esquina y se convierte en el momento ideal para tejer un chal ligero y versátil, una de esas prendas que nos acompañe para las noches de verano o que nos proteja de los espacios con aire acondicionado. Un proyecto sencillo que nos mantendrá las manos ocupadas sin tener que "sufrir" con una lana demasiado calurosa. Pues bueno, ha llegado el momento de anunciar... ¡el CROCKERN TOR KAL de OPENstudio79!

Summer is almost here and this time of the year is a great moment to knit a breezy light shawl. One of these garments to wear at summer nights or to cover up in freezing air conditioned spaces. A little project to keep knitters hands busy without suffering with a too wooly and hot yarn. Well.... time has arrived to announce the CROCKERN TOR KAL by Open studio79!!

Miga de Pan

Este abril tengo el placer de recibir de nueva en OPENstudio79 a Adriana Torres, Miga de Pan, que ofrecerá dos maravillosos talleres de bordado. Me hizo muchísima ilusión que Adriana me llamara para pedirme que mi estudio formara parte de su tour 2017 de talleres. Es un honor para mí poder ofrecerle a los crafters mallorquines la oportunidad de aprender de una de las reconocidas bordadoras de todo el mundo.

This april we are delighted to welcome Adriana Torres, Miga de Pan, again at OPENstudio79, where she will offer two amazing embroidery workshops. I was very excited when some months ago Adriana asked me to make a stop at my studio in Mallorca as part of her 2017 workshop tours. It is a real honor for me to be able to offer to the Mallorcan crafters this opportunity: to learn from one of the most renowned contemporary embroidery artists from around the world. 

Edinburgh Yarn Festival 2017

Por fin este año he conseguido ir al Edinburgh Yarn Festival, EYF, (Festival de lanas de Edimburgo) y he pensado que sería bonito compartir con vosotros algunas de las impresiones que he tenido y mostraros los colores y texturas que he podido ver y sentir en vivo. Por supuesto, también he conocido a tejedoras de todo el mundo, podcasters británicas, conocidos diseñadores, tintoreras de lana independientes, hilanderas... ¡un verdadero lujo!

This year I made it to the EYF and I thought it would be nice to share with you some impressions about colors and textures I was able to see and feel. Of course I have also met many nice knitters from around the world, british podcasters, well known designers and indie wool dyers or spinners, which was a real treat.

Nívola Uyá en OPENstudio79

Uno de los motivos principales por los que decidí abrir mi estudio hace unos años, era tener la posibilidad de ofrecer experiencias creativas con las que alimentar el alma y el corazón de la comunidad. Es siempre un gran honor para mí recibir en OPENstudio79 a todos aquéllos que quieren compartir su arte, conocimientos y amor, y llenar mi espacio con su creatividad. La ilustradora Nívola Uyá es una de esas personas; una artista que vive su profesión con pasión, que siempre busca transmitir el amor en su trabajo con el propósito de "ilustrar un mundo mejor, que también existe". Pero voy a dejar que sea ella la que se presente en este precioso vídeo, que podéis ver también en su web.

One of the main reasons why I decided to open my studio some years ago was to offer to the community creative experiences to feed our soul and hearts. It is always a huge honor when I can invite to OPENstudio79 special human beings who want to share their art, knowledge and love with us and infuse my space with their creativity. Nívola Uyá in one these person, an amazing illustrator and artist who lives her profession with passion and is always seeking to transmit love in her work and aiming to "illustrate a better world, that also exists". Mittens - or the "non-phone" device | Manoplas, la prenda anti-móvil

Mientras preparaba el taller de manoplas que realicé el mes pasado en OPENstudio79, me vinieron a la cabeza algunos recuerdos. Recordé algunas de mis experiencias durante la niñez al llevar manoplas durante el invierno y lo complicado que resultaba hacer cualquier cosa con ellas puestas. Lo que hace años no era más que un fastidio, visto desde otra perspectiva, se convierte ahora en una gran ventaja. Si resultaba casi imposible abrir una cremallera, cerrar los botones o sacarse algo del bolsillo, imagina lo difícil que puede llegar a ser enviar un mensaje o compartir una imagen desde tu móvil. En mi opinión, esa dificultad puede convertirse hasta en una terapia para superar nuestra posible excesiva adicción al teléfono y las redes sociales mientras nos encontramos en un entorno natural.

While preparing last months mitten workshop at OPENstudio79  I came upon a silly thought. I was remembering my childhood experiences wearing mittens at wintertime and how complicated it was to do fine motor skills while wearing them. What years ago was a nuisance suddenly became under my point of view an advantage. If it was almost imposible to open zippers, close buttons or take something out of your pocket, imagine how hard it would be typing on the screen of your smartphone messages or sharing images with the world. This inability may happen to be an advantage or a therapy nowadays for our perhaps excessive social media and phone addiction while we are out in the nature.

Color, transformation & Knitting Playlist III

Esta es la historia de una transformación, una metamorfosis de color y recuerdos. Este verano celebramos un cumpleaños muy especial en casa. Mi hija Julia cumplía 18 años. Preparé un ramo de flores con rosas y eucaliptos para mi hija, que ya dejaba de ser una niña. Los días fueron pasando, las celebraciones acabaron y, poco a poco, las flores se fueron marchitando. Secamos las flores para conservarlas y, en cuanto recogí las hojas de eucalipto, se me ocurrió un plan ideal para ellas.

This is the story of a transformation, a metamorphosis in terms of color and memories. It was last summer when we had a very special bday to celebrate at home. My daughter Julia was becoming 18 years old. I prepared a flower bouquet of wild roses and eucalyptus for my little one, who was no longer a child anymore. Days went by, the partying was over and little by little the flowers faded, dropping their heads. We would keep the dry roses and as I was holding the eucalyptus in my hand I instantly had a plan for it.

Llevo siguiendo la trayectoria de Moeke Yarns desde que oí hablar de ellos en Woolful, uno de mis posdcasts favoritos sobre punto. Hablar de Moeke es hablar de Ioana, una mujer rumana que decidió volver a sus orígenes, apostar por los recursos naturales de su país natal y por aquellas experiencias de vivió durante su niñez junto a sus abuelos en las montañas, en plena naturaleza y rodeada de ovejas.

I have been following Moeke Yarns long ago when I heard about it at one of my favorite knitting podcasts: Woolful. The story of Moeke is the story of a Romanian woman Ioana, who decided to root back to her past, to the natural resources of her homeland and to the traditions she experienced during her childhood while living with her grandparents in the mountains surrounded by nature and sheep.

¿Quién dice que el verano no está hecho para tejer? ¿No es el momento en el que podemos tener tiempo para nosotr@s y hacer lo que queramos? Para mí eso significa tiempo para hacer algunos bocetos y pintar con acuarelas, tomar algún cóctel... y cómo no, ¡tejer! Está claro que quizá no apetece tejer con lanas -y más cuando estamos tan cerca del mar y la humedad hace que sea más complicado para la fibra deslizarse entre los dedos-, pero para eso tenemos algodones, bambú, lino y sedas.   

Who says Summer time is not Knitting time? Isn't it the best season to take time for oneself and do whatever you like? In my case besides doing some sketches and watercolors and perhaps drinking a cocktail...it is to knit!  Of course one does not want to knit with woolen yarns, specially when you are close to the sea, as the humidity makes it harder for the fiber to flow between your fingers, but it is the perfect time for cotton, bamboo, linen or silky yarns.

Blue sky & shibori

El verano es la mejor estación para trabajar fuera y mojarse las manos. Me pareció el momento ideal para hacer un taller de Shibori en OPENstudio79. Aún no me considero una experta en la preparación del índigo, pero tras realizar hace unos meses un taller con Rosa Caterina Bosch de Tinctorum, sólo podía pensar en aprender y experimentar más con esta increíble forma de teñir.

Summer is a great season to work outside and get your hands wet. It seemed to me a perfect moment for doing a Shibori workshop at OPENstudio79. I have to admit that I am not an expert yet in preparing an Indigo vat, but earlier in the year I did a workshop with Rosa Caterina Bosch Tinctorum and it made me want to learn more and experiment with this amazing dye.

Motherhood, knitting and playlist

Me siento tremendamente afortunada de ser la madre de estas dos preciosas niñas: Maya y Julia. En este punto de la vida tengo una mezcla de sensaciones: gratitud y a la vez melancolía al darme cuenta de lo rápido que ha pasado el tiempo. Mi hija mayor está estudiando fuera y la menor dejará el nido el próximo curso. Y es que hace ya 20 años que Ignacio, mi marido, y yo nos embarcamos en la aventura de ser padres.

I was immensely fortunate to give birth to two beautiful girls: Maya and Julia. I feel so grateful and at this point a little melancholic as time has gone by too quickly. My oldest daughter is already studying abroad and the youngest one is leaving this year our nest. Ignacio, my husband and I started this journey together 20 years ago not knowing what great adventure it was going to be becoming parents.

Wild Roses

Como muchos ya sabéis, adoro las flores naturales, aunque debo confesar que estas rosas silvestres hechas de papel me han cautivado. Para celebrar el día de Sant Jordi y darle una vuelta craft a la tradición, voy a preparar un puestecito fuera del estudio, en el que además de ofrecer algún que otro libro craft, vamos a preparar estas rosas que encontré hace poco navegando por la red.
Enseguida que me topé con el tutorial, me imaginé que quedarían genial con los colores pastel de las pinturas naturales Autentico, que tengo en el estudio.

You all know how much I adore natural flowers, but I have to confess that I have fallen in love with this wild paper roses. The story is that on the April 23rd, the day of Saint Jordi, there is a beautiful tradition in some parts of Spain, where you buy a book and a rose to the ones you love. Thinking about setting a table outside my studio for this special day I thought about offering a crafty activity to create a paper rose and I came upon this DIY.
I could imagine that it would look really great with the Autentico natural paint I offer at my studio, specially because it has this really nice pastel tones.
